Join Us!

We have an amazing troop and would love for you to join us!   Please email us at committeechair@bsa-ncac-troop291.org to learn more about joining.

To join our troop, a boy must be ages 11-17, have completed fifth grade or earned his Arrow of Light award in Cub Scouts.   Most members of our troop live in Gaithersburg, North Potomac, Darnestown or Potomac, but we welcome boys from anywhere.  Some boys join after bridging from local Cub Scout packs, but a boy can easily join our troop without ever having been a Cub Scout.

If you'd like to attend a meeting or event to see what we're about, we can arrange that.

Our New Parent Guide has many more details about the process of becoming part of Troop 291, including forms to complete, costs, uniforms, etc.   Don't worry if it seems like there is a lot to do - we'll help you through the process!
