Merit Badges

Our process to earn a merit badge is:

1. Choose a merit badge

2. Email mbcounselor@bsa-ncac-troop291.org (copy another adult) to request approval to work on merit badge

3. Wait for email with approval and contact details for your counselor

4. Print merit badge worksheet (here)

5. Contact counselor to arrange initial meeting to discuss requirements and next steps

6. Get your "blue card" from the advancement chair at a troop meeting

7. Counselor signs off requirements on "blue card"

8. Drop off the completed Merit Badge card (both sections) to the Advancement Paperwork Drop off Box at the Troop Meeting or Advancement Day
